Maple Lake High School Graduation Requirements

  • GRADE 9 - 12 Semesters

    To receive a diploma from Maple Lake High School, you must meet the following criteria:

    • English-2 Semesters
    • Math-2 Semersters
    • Science-2 Semesters
    • Social Studies-2 Semesters
    • Electives-4 Semesters

     

    Grades 10 through 12

    To receive a diploma from Maple Lake High School, you must meet the following criteria; Grades 10 through 12 must take 36 semester courses earning 66 credits.

    • Minimum 6 Semesters of English
    • Minimum 4 Semesters of Math
    • Minimum 4 Semesters of Science
    • Minimum 6 Semesters of Social Studies
    • Minimum 1 Semester of Fitness
    • Minimum 1 Semesters of Health
    • Minimum 2 Semesters of of an Art Performance Class
    • Any classes for the other semesters

     

     

    HONOR ROLL DETERMINATION

    After each quarter, a “B” honor roll is published, including names of students whose average for the quarter is 2.670 or higher. Also, an “A” honor roll is published, including names of students whose average for the quarter is 3.670 or higher. Membership on an honor roll is determined by finding the average value of all grades earned per quarter. The alternative method for calculating GPA will no longer be used when calculating honor roll. To be included on the Honor Roll, students must carry a minimum of five ranked courses. The point value of each grade is as follows in the table below:

    4 year College Requirements : 

    • 4 year of English-9, 10, 11, 12
    • 3 years of Math: Algerbra, Advanced Algerbra, & Geometry
    • 4 years of Social Studies: US History, Social 11 (part 1 & 2), US Politics and Economics, World Geography
    • 3 years of Science: Physical Science Systems, Biology &Chemistry or Physics
    • 2 years of World Language

     

     

    POST SECONDARY ENROLLMENT OPTIONS

    Allows high school juniors and seniors to take courses at a post secondary institution for high school credit. Please see school counselor to see if you meet the eligibility criteria.
