The school year is quickly coming to an end!  In these last few weeks of school, we have a lot going on. Let me fill you in on a few things you may want to be aware of.

Friday, May 20

This Friday, May 20, is elementary track and field day.  This event is for the elementary students and their parents.  Students in grades 7 – 12 have school and academic obligations and are not allowed to attend track and field day.  Students who are absent for doctor or dentist appointments on Friday, May 20, must bring an appointment verification card from the doctor/dentist office upon their return for the absence to be considered excused.

Science Fair

On Wednesday, May 25, 9th grade students and physics students will be presenting their science fair from 8:30 am – 9:30 am in the high school activity center.  Additionally, Industrial Tech students will be showing some of their projects.  Parents are welcome to attend.  Park in the back parking lot and enter through door “H.”

Yearbook Signing

Yearbooks will be distributed for all students on May 27.  Time will be allowed for exchanging signatures and special notes on the afternoon of Friday, May 27, for students in grades 7 – 12.  Yearbooks are not allowed to be signed or exchanged during class time for the remainder of the year unless teacher permission is granted.  There is a limited supply of yearbooks which are available on a first come first served basis.  The cost is $85.  See Mrs. Elsenpeter for details.

Senior Award’s Night and Commencement

Senior Award’s night will be held on Wednesday, June 1, at 7:30 pm.  Scholarships and awards will be presented and the senior video will be shown.  This event is held in the high school auditorium and is open to the class of 2022 and their families.  Commencement will be held on Friday, June 3, at 8 pm in the high school gym.  In order to participate in Commencement, seniors MUST attend graduation practice Friday morning, June 3, at 8:30 am.

As we wrap up the school year, we continue to focus on academics.  It is imperative that your child be in attendance at school!  Students in grades 7-12 will have academic work through their last day.  It is crucial that your child stay focused and engaged until the end of the year.  Please encourage your child/children to complete their assignments and year-end projects.  If you have questions regarding your child’s assignments or grades, please contact your child’s teachers.  Let’s work together to complete the year successfully.  Remember, failed semester or year-long classes will be repeated next year.  Please have your child attend school daily.  Thanks!

Last Day of School

The last day of school is Friday, June 3, for students in grades 7-11!  The last day of school for seniors who have all work completed and are in good standing is Wednesday, June 1, 2022.

Lunch Accounts

Please ensure your child has enough money in his/her lunch account to make it through the remaining days of the school year if they purchase extra entrees or ala carte items.

Let us all work together to have a strong end to the school year!
